Getting to know me!

I start this blog today, July 26, 2015. Please have patience with me, I'm learning! I have put in many hours of research into my family history over my lifetime & I have put together a very "sketchy" outline of the earlier decendants and can't wait to firm up my discoverys.

I want to use this site & this blog to post information that I KNOW about the family so it will not be lost to the younger generation of my family. If I'm lucky, this site will bring others with information & we can learn from each other.

There aren't many elders remaining in the McLaurin & Kimsey family & I never knew any of my Sego or Johnson relatives. I will try to post only what I can supply backup for. I do know that the branchs trickled down from North Carolina & Georgia & landed here in Tallahasse, Florida. My family has been here since the early 1900's. I will also be posting history regarding Tallahassee, sometimes including my family & sometimes not.
