Ellen Payne Odom Genealogical Library

Moultrie-Colquitt County Library
204 5th Street, Southeast
Moultrie, GA 31768

I can't say enough about this library. It is about 2 hours away from my house so I can't visit as often as I'd like but when I do, I never leave empty handed.

What caught my eye in the beginning was the fact that the library has large section on Scottish Clans. They have books, papers, microfilm, even Galiec Bibles! That in istself would be amazing but I have since found out that their collections include information on the American Wars, Daughters of the American Revolution, a Veteran's History Project, Colonel Dames Register of Ancestors, Native Americans, a large Georgia collection, a Jewish Collection, Census records, microfilm and maps...just to name a few! They have books regarding most states. The books on Georgia counties & North Carolina counties have been very useful for my research.

It you have the chance to visit this gem please do, you will not regret it.
